Are you replaying original Far cry or just playing for the first time? Its one if the best Far Cry games till date. I would compare this game to Half Life 2.

I thought Far Cry was a fantastic game and something quite different, although let down by the last few levels. The linear nature and the silent dropping of the random scenario system halfway through development was disappointing in comparison to what was originally promised, but it still turned out well (again, like Stalker).
